service dog training
Do you have a resilient dog, who responds well in public, six months of age, and are you willing to put in the effort to train your dog? Then you’re likely a qualified team.

- Item retrieval
- Light mobility assistance (non-weight-bearing)
- Hearing assistance
- Medical response
- Psychiatric and PTSD-related tasks
- Tasks relating to your specific disability.

Training service dogs is very different than training pet dogs! We use modern, scientifically sound, and positive training methods when providing service dog training. Throughout the training process, we consider the team’s needs and adjust plans without relaxing standards. We strive to be compassionate and encourage transparency and a collaborative approach to learning.

- Must have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disability Act.
- The disability must be documented by a healthcare professional.
- Must commit to training at least 20 min a day.
- Must participate in scheduled outings in the community.
- An appropriate service dog candidate (Don’t have a dog? We can help!)
